Tineke Van der Eecken
Tineke Van der Eecken creates a sense of place with her jewellery designs, narrating her own journey from Belgium, to Africa and to Australia and to other remote places she visits with her geologist husband. She trained in Jewellery design and fabrication at TAFE. She exhibits regularly in WA and in Belgium and won awards at Melville and York, and was a finalist in Australia’s Memento Awards. She works in silver and gold and incorporates rough precious and semi-precious material, using techniques that echo organic forms of nature.
