This award exhibition of Australian and New Zealand jewellery curated by the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery is now open for entrants. Award prize money has been sponsored by the Toowoomba Gallery Society Inc.
This award is open to entrants who are permanent residents of Australia and New Zealand. All entries should reflect the theme Contemporary Wearables.

Expressions of Interest
JMGA WA will be exhibiting at Percolator Gallery (opening 9th– 16th July 2013) as part of the national JMGA Conference in Brisbane from 12-15 July 2013. This is a great opportunity to present work from Western Australia to a national audience and we encourage as many members as possible to be involved.
Those wishing to participate are asked to submit up to 5 digital images of existing work and a written submission (no more than 1 page), about the work they would like to exhibit. Submissions will be juried by Isobel Wise and Thelma John.
There will not be a theme for the exhibition and selected participants will be asked to produce a small body of original work of approximately 4-6 pieces, all work must be for sale. There is an initial fee of $25 for all participants to cover costs, there may be a small additional fee for those selected to contribute to the cost of mounting the exhibition (depending on a successful grant submission).

An exhibition celebrating 100 years of International Women’s Day
TOURING NATIONALLY UNTIL 2014
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Sailor… begins an old rhyme that little girls would chant to predict the profession of the man they would marry. Not in their wildest dreams could they have imagined that all the professions recited, from priests to lawyers, would one day be occupations for women.
The exhibition Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor features 100 stories of great Australian women who have broken professional barriers and 100 brooches made in response to these stories by 100 of Australia’s most talented women jewellers. Covering arts, sciences, sports, entertainment, medicine and other disciplines as well as contemporary jewellery, Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor has a wide appeal and generates pride for the milestones set by the women of the past and provides inspiration for the women of the future.

Opening night at JMGA’s “Wearable Narrative’s” Exhibition was a big success with a huge crowd of Members, Family, Friends and industry people. Gallery Central in Perth was the perfect place to host the exhibition with it’s amazing amount of space making it really enjoyable to mingle and chat with members as well as viewing the fabulous creative pieces that all members exhibited.
Works by all members was amazing and there was such a diverse range of work and materials. I have to say I really did enjoy looking at this exhibition even the second time around. Below are just some of the amazing work by members for “Wearable Narratives”.
Sandy was WINNER of Concept Development sponsored by Jewellers & Metal Smith Group of WA Troy 1 Paper with 1611 English translation of part of the Lliad, ribbon, goldleaf, wooden beads. Have to say Sandy is one of my favourite Contemporary Jewellers. Love every thing she makes.
