Solo exhibition of new work by Felicity Peters
Felicity’s current exhibition Serendipity is a push back against COVID and the many restrictions that were placed on the community. Felicity, like many others, struggled with being unable to physically contact her only relatives in Sydney for nearly two years. Particularly hard was the loss of physical contact with her young grandchildren, and the loss of being part of their lives at important development stages. This show is a labour of love; an effort to compensate for a very dreary two year period in many people’s lives.
Artists floor talk, Sunday 12 November, 3pm.
Felicity will discuss the techniques she has used in making the objects in the exhibition Serendipity, and where she found inspiration for her work. Members will be able to handle the pieces and take note of the interesting design on the backs of the pendants, as well as the little surprises on some of the [pieces... a dash of gold, a Miro-like figure or a small diamond. Felicity has also used some interesting displays in the exhibition.
